Easter

Hope you all had a great Easter and were able to focus your day on the reason we celebrate this special day - Our Savior.

We are so grateful for all that He has done for us.

All our holiday fun tends to happen on the days leading up to Easter and then we keep Easter Sunday pretty simple.  But I can't resist posting a few pics of my little sweethearts.  Claire and Crue make me so incredibly happy and I am so blessed to be their mom.  I'm pretty sure Heavenly Father sent the two best kiddos ever down to us.  They make me happy, make me laugh,  fill my heart with joy,  and at times they drive me crazy.  I hope they know how much they are loved.

Claire and Crue on our way to church.  Aren't they just the cutest kiddos ever.  Don't mind Crue's mouth full of cereal.  You don't mess with the boy when he is eating.  I can't get enough of his suspenders -  I am a total sucker for boys in suspenders.

My handsome boys.  Even when mad, he is still stinkin' cute.  He just asked for more cereal and found out I didn't bring any for him.  I'm telling ya, he takes his snacks pretty serious.

Easter Fun

I am so grateful for all the traditions we have and the amazing family that we have to share them with.  This year we did pretty much the same thing we do every year and we had so much fun doing it.  Playing outside, coloring eggs (or you can color them twice like Crue...once with the shell on, remove shell, and color them again), family bbq, several Easter egg hunts, hiking up the mountain with a tire to see how far down it will go, sand castles, raw egg toss....good times, good times.

Church History Museum

Last month we decided we needed to get out of the house so we headed to the Church History Museum with some friends.  The museum itself it great but what you may not know is that upstairs is a place just for the kiddos.  It was the perfect place to spend the afternoon.

They did a little dancing.

St. Patty's Day

I'm not one to really get into St. Patrick's Day.  Wearing green and maybe dying something green is about as far as I normally go.  That all changed this year since Claire was totally into it.
A mischievous leprechaun got into our house during the night and tied a string to our bedroom doors.  His pockets must have been overflowing with candy because it fell out all over our floor too.    When we each followed our string we found a nice little St. Patty's day treat at the end.  Claire exclaimed that he was the nicest leprechaun and hopes he visits again next year.  And Crue...well this boy has a serious sweet tooth and all he cared about was hoarding as much candy as he could before his sister figured out what he was doing.  Just so you know, he defends his stash of candy so don't try even getting near it.

Side note:  Do you know how hard it is to find green candy and treats??  I'm must say I am quite impressed with myself the leprechaun.

Then we had a somewhat green breakfast.

I wish I had a better picture of Claire since she insisted on wearing everything green that she could find - green skirt, green shirt, green vest, green hairbow. She is positive that you have to be wearing nothing but green or you will get pinched.  It was quite the little outfit she put together...head to toe, nothing but green.  She had the outfit planned out for at least a week.

Birthday Boy

Our little boy turned two years old.  We thought long and hard about what to do for his birthday and finally decided to go to Jungle Jims.  He loves that place.  Of course we had to invite some of our favorite people to come with us.  We had so much fun and Crue keeps asking to go back.

We had the hardest time trying to decide between a balance bike and a trike and the second we decided on a balance bike Luke happened to see a 10" kids bike.    Our little boy is a big Mickey Mouse fan and has loved the bike.  For several days after I would walk into the room to find him sitting on his bike in front of the tv, totally naked (leave him alone for a second and those clothes come off), Mickey Mouse sippy in hand, and watching Tangled.

He got spoiled with lots of presents.

Love his fake smile!!

Happy Birthday Crue Buddy!!
We love you so much.
