The awesome shoes

A few weeks ago Crue and I dropped off Claire at school and then headed out to get him a new pair of shoes.  This boy of mine LOVES to shop and he was so excited since he knew exactly what we were shopping for.  He picked out which ones he wanted (he said they look just like his daddy's) and refused to take them off once he tried them on.  My little man seriously just make me laugh all day long.  As we are coming out of the store with his new shoes on (yep, the cashier had to cut the tags off right there) he tests them out for running, does a few jumps in them (he is positive he can jump higher), and then starts his "cool" walk with his whole body swaying back and forth.  I wish I could be recording this kid 24/7 because he is sooo funny.  Once in the van he says, "I like them mom.  My shoes are awesome."  And that folks is ten dollars well spent!

Kindergarten, here she comes!!

It seems like she was just my little baby (although she will always be my baby) but today we sent her off to kindergarten.  She was so excited that it was hard for me to be sad.  Or maybe I got all my crying out last night after I kissed her goodnight. 

We are so proud of you and the amazing person you are growing up to become.  You are happy, smart, friendly, outgoing, and we couldn't ask for a better daughter.  We love you so much Claire.  Good luck on your first day of school.

After we dropped Claire off, Crue made me feel better when he said "I will stay your little baby."  It is so fun watching them grow up but sure wish it didn't happen quite so fast.
